From the outset, the new organisation was determined that the race would raise as much money for local causes as possible. The 2007 race saw a total of ?11,000 going to the local causes.Following the 2008 race, Marathon Eryri were able to donate over ?14,000 to local groups. This money has been used in a variety of ways from building a climbing wall in a local Primary School to helping fund trips for local volunteering groups." |
