Your run will take you along the waterfront of George Town, the capital of the Cayman Islands, into the residential area of South Sound which boasts multi-million dollar homes and dazzling views of the ocean and then into the financial district and along the waterfront once again. The Cayman Islands Marathon uses the ChampionChip timing system. All participants who do not own a Yellow ChampionChip will receive a Black ChampionChip when they pick up their packets on Saturday, 5 December. If a runner owns his/her own ChampionChip, and will be using it in this race, the number will need to be provided in the application. Runners who do not own a ChampionChip and will be using the chip provided by the Marathon MUST return it after the race. A $35 charge will be assessed if the chip is not returned. In addition, all runners MUST wear their chip when running. NO CHIP, NO TIME!" |
