The Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Houston Half Marathon have a protected cap of 22,000 participants. Of the 22,000 entries, 11,000 entries are reserved for each of the marathon and half marathon fields. The Chevron Houston Marathon features a wave start with the first wave starting at 7:00 a.m., 10 minutes before the second wave start at 7:10 a.m. A pace team with goal finish times from three to six hours are led by the Houston Marathon Veterans and is free to join. Stop by the Veterans Pace Team booth during the Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine Institute EXPO to get information or sign up for a pace team. If you do not sign up at the EXPO for a pace team, you are still welcome to join a team on race day." |
