With the death of disco, we traded in our platform shoes for waffle trainers and hit the roads, trails, and the tracks. Over the years, club members have logged tens of thousands of miles. One of our distinguished members has run over 100 marathons! But the club isn’t just for experienced runners… we welcome all who share our lifestyle of enjoying a good run. The 3 Rivers Road Runners are for runners of all shapes and sizes, from the veteran ultramarathoner to the beginner working towards that first 5 km fun run, and everyone in betweeThe primary goal of the 3 Rivers Road Runners is to promote running events in the Tri-Cities. Besides providing events for our members and the runners in the region, with our events we hope to attract new runners to the club that can benefit from the healthful, positive lifestyle gained through running. Several of our runs benefit local United Way agencies. We have also been able to offer limited scholarships to deserving college students in our area each year for the last several years. Our running club not only gives back to the running community, we give back to the community at large." |
